a general mills breakfast

this week during breakfast as we discussed the new cereals currently available in our andes mint color-coded cafeteria, an RA and fellow english major (whom i refer to as b-ide) sat down with a fresh bowl of trix. all eyes glistened and smiles began to form as each of us stared at his glowing bowl of sugary nutrition and reminisced in our own minds: the early elementary years...when trix were for kids. those mental memories soon became verbal conversation. ten minutes later, as b-ide and i readied to head to the adult world of brit lit, donald took a seat at the round table. we paused as we noticed his two bowls of cereal: trix and lucky charms...what a way to begin the day with a double dose of childhood.
