missions conference
after two days of cancelled classes and all day sessions with missionaries and various speakers, the missions conference for this year came to a close friday afternoon.
i say i quite enjoyed it, most especially the breaks when the opportunity for ihc summer recruiting was at my fingertips. alika and i had a ton of fun competing for "who could get the most people to sign-up for info." at the end, there were three (of the many ;) ) that i recruited that are pretty serious about not just getting info but actually applying. they are high quality people, who would love camp! im totally excited to see how it turns out!
in other things regarding the missions conference, it assisted in confirming the fact that: when i grow up...im gonna be a missionary. :)

go sonia! i do not know yet if my effort to recruit did any for this summer, but possible next summer. of course, i only got about 2 mins to present an entire summer of ministry and only to the girls on my hall. but hey, if it's God plan to have them there this summer they will be there. whether i influenced them or not.
miss your smiling mischievous face. ;)
Am I surprised to hear this? Not a bit. I knew that God was going to use you directly for his work. What an amazing blessing.
This conference made me, as well, comprehend the actuality of becoming a missionary. Before, I had always thought it impossible, but, boy, don't we know what happens when I say something like that...he plops me down and tells me a different story for my life :)
