tuesday night reunion

once i had this friend from high school named megan. together, there are many fond memories of school, italy, england, dirt bike riding, movies, shows, baskin robbins, sleeping in a truck for three consecutive nights, her family of nine...the list is endless! mega-star had always dreamed of continuing her education at point loma nazarene university...and upon graduation she was accepted. (who says God's dreams aren't your dreams?) :) so instead of being a responsible RA, and spending a tuesday night "observing" center open dorms, i left. (got it covered ;) ) back in high school glory daze, megan and i were hardcore five iron frenzy fans. fif has since broken up and taken different paths. reese roper, mr. lead singer, started another band called roper, (yeah, real original eh?) :) i left open dorms to be entertained by roper for 2 bucks and to par-take in plnu caf food, oh, not to mention have good quality time with mega-muffin. while im not much for live concerts (b/c the performer tends to sound better on compact disc) it was incredible!! metro (a friend from camp; fif fanatic) showed up as well and took part in enjoying the more than hilarious knee slappin' "come back king". after a discussion regarding the mystery of which person (of the 30) in the room was the lead singer, the three of us finally agreed to a correct conclusion. it was then that metro and i decided that reese resembled a smaller but not so much smaller version of rooph. if i wasn't such a stingy cheapskate i would have picked up the new album. but for now i will gladly settle for listening to it on the band website. here's my post, i hope you hate it. :) (only a fan of fif would know what i mean by that). whelp, needless to say, i was totally blessed and privileged with the thrice in a lifetime opportunity to rock out with megan and reese roper...at the end of the night mega-stud described it well to some friends as: "a trip down memory lane..."
