waterfalls & batting cages
in these last two days i've developed a budding interest for waterfalls and the batting cages.
on tuesday afternoon, jonathan morse, daniel duncan, adam peterson, amy budd, two goodheart gals, and i, went on an incredible expedition (sadly, joshua james delivered pizzas for domino's). with his brand spankin' new so cal hiking book and keen sense of direction, jonathan was our hardcore field guide. you must understand it is a hobby of jon's to discover new places to hike then invite everyone along for the experience. this time was no exception, we went to the most beautiful waterfall in san diego county...skeptical that there's a waterfall in S.D.? yes, so were we. :) it's known as cedar falls. after a 2.5 mile hike we arrived to the waterfall and jumped with our only set of clothes (the one's we were wearing!) into the refreshingly cold pool at its base. for added entertainment there was an approximant 25 foot rock we jumped off of as well. the view throughout the journey made all the rain we've had this season totally worth it! no matter how many times i surveyed the scenic views, i continued to be amazed at God's glorious creation! the whole time i kept thinking of people, of friends, i could hardly wait to share this newly discovered nature with. (let me know if you want to go!) as dusk began to set in, we hiked back soaking wet, while the guys made their own trail. wearing shorts, i received some souvenir abrasions that krista was so willing to "gently" clean with hydrogen peroxide (b/c i was too much of a wuss to use alcohol ;) ) when we got back (thanks krista!). even the car ride there and back was momentous! haha. needless to say, we had a blast! a hecka rad way to spend a day of spring break! as for the batting cages...i went on wednesday night while in oceanside. i think i've decided to invest in a pair of batting gloves, then track down the nearest el cajon cages for an inexpensive new hobby. :)
happy march tenth birthday sarah adelaide calvin dignal. ;)

Sonia, that was an awesome hike and truly one of the highlights of my spring break!!
I am Josh, the nerdy pizza delivery boy who couldnt come on the fun and exciting hike. I'd rather be delivering pizzas any day than hanging out with my friends. Hooray for Dominoes!!
Well, obviously the imposter above does not know how the real Josh feels about this hike... you see i have inside connections with the man and i can vouch for the fact that he was held against his will from going with the gang, including Jon MORSE... hint hint, shameful to say. Anywhoo, just thought i would clear a few things up.
